Click to expand. Edit: Never mind. I missed that you are on Cubase 5 which does not support AU. KK does not support VST3 either so it won't work as a plugin inside Cubase 5 on Mac. The Keyboard will work with Maschine 2.2 forward.
Make sure the version of Maschine that is loading in Cubase is 2.3. Click the NI icon in Maschine when it is loaded in Cubase to check the version. Refer to your Cubase manual on how to setup external midi controllers in devices. You should be able to use the keyboard as a generic midi controller in midi mode in Cubase. If I select 'all midi inputs' in Cubase the keys on KK will light up as if it works but if i choose 1 maschine 2 out (also Cubase) the keys doesnt 'follow' the maschine and wont play, actually the key c3 (root) does but none of the other.
I can record from maschine to cubase but only to one track. If i try another track i cant figure out how it works. Im not sure if the drag and drop works, i would like to play the keys in directly if possible. I will use maschine standalone in the future for beats but i would also like to put in some maschine and kk magic inside cubase because i also work with vocals and not just music. Only referring to the input. Obviously you need the output set to Maschine to trigger it from your DAW with a midi controller. The scanning sounds like you are saving groups or projects with samples to your user folder.
In this scenario, you do not want to do scans. To fix, move the samples folders in the standard user directory to anther location and rescan. After that you can move the samples back. The associated 'samples' folders will be in the group and project folders of the standard user directory respectively. It is best not to manually scan this directory and if you do, make sure to move the 'samples' folders first prior to scanning.
You can reveal the location of the standard user directory by resizing the preferences pop up and columns. Click to expand.I was speaking about the standard user directory for Maschine user content only. If your issue is for Komplete content then disregard. If the issue is for Kontakt Libraries, this must be resolved inside Kontakt.
If a Kontakt library is moved then you must point Kontakt to the new location. This is managed in Kontakt with the libraries tab where you can locate the directory of each library. Refer to your Kontakt manual. It may be that you just need to update your Komplete content.
